侦察员宋大畏（郑浩南 饰）在一次出警时与劫匪元安（张志坚 饰）搏斗，不幸摔成植物人，一睡就是数年不醒。基因研究所李明（夏淑华 饰）博士发明一种针剂，给宋大畏注射后，他奇迹般苏醒过来，但就象外星人来地球一样，他已对当今的所有现象无法理解，昔日的情人唐蓉（吴雪雯 饰）已嫁他人，而且已耀升为公安局的副局长，而宿敌元安也变的穷凶极恶，他想窃取李明的科研成果——遗传基因。主动请缨未果，宋大畏只身踏入缉凶险途，仰慕大畏的电脑专家小青（方青子 饰）和老公安明叔（陈茂林 饰）义无反顾地加入到配合行列。唐蓉认为宋大畏此行异于常人，只能给破案造成障碍，连忙布署技术侦察，怎奈宋大畏早已深入虎穴，与元安等罪犯展开了贴身肉博......。Here's a modern-day film noir in which you're never sure what's real and what isn't real.
