Black Earth Rising is a long form thriller which, through the prism of a black Anglo-American family, examines the West’s relationship with contemporary Africa by exploring issues of justice, guilt, and self-determination.。One of our greatest contemporary filmmakers, Filipino director Lav Diaz, meets a Cuban cab driver, Gustavo Flecha.
