这部单镜头情景喜剧松散地改编自编剧Kenya Barris的个人生活经历。主人公是一个中上阶层的黑人（Anthony meijubar.net Anderson），他试图依靠自己保留的「文化特性」来抚育子女，但却在各方面遭遇障碍：开明大方的妻子（Tracee Ellis Ross），因循守旧的父亲，还有被时代「同化」的孩子们全都反对他。。故事发生在1890年的巴黎，亨利是一名画家，他常常现身于“红磨坊”之中，当他人沉浸在灯红酒绿纸醉金迷之中时，亨利只是埋头专心作画。一次偶然中，亨利结识了名为玛丽的女子，在帮助她脱离险境之后，亨利被美丽开朗的玛丽迷住了......。Unemployed Czech-speaking writer Nicholas Whistler thinks he's got a job visiting Prague for a bit of industrial espionage. In fact he is now in the employ of British Intelligence. His pretty chauffeuse on arrival behind the Iron Curtain, Comrade Simonova, is herself a Czech agent. Just as well she's immediately attracted to 007's unwitting replacement.。
