电影以顾平生和夏终年的爱情为主线，以跆拳道比赛为副线，展现了当代大学生丰富多彩的生活。顾平生在与夏终年的恋爱关系中逐渐变成了最好的自己，而夏终年在顾平生的呵护与陪伴下将自己的心扉打开，认识到了陪伴的意义。同时，夏终年也在跆拳道比赛与对手的竞争中成长起来。。剧情以汪宝强（江宏恩饰）和朱玉亭（翁虹饰）的爱情为主线，讲述丑爹汪木根（严顺开饰）为自己的儿子儿媳操碎心的故事。 干临时工的汪宝强在偶然的一次被导演叫去当群众演员之后，就做起了明星梦。在遇见朱玉亭以后，碍于面子，就对朱玉亭撒谎称自己在乡下种地的丑爹是乡长，并且与朱玉亭结了婚，有了小孩。 可故事随着乡下丑爹的到来，悄然掀起了波浪···。Rainer Kohlberger is prepared to go far when it comes to the physical experiences he evokes with his work.
