A family who just moved in has been murdered causing the curiosity of a group of friends to get the best of them. Deciding to break in and investigate with hand held cameras, would be the worst decision of their fun fill...。首富林家夫人在生产时遇到仇家追杀，导致不慎遗落刚刚诞下的双生胎中的妹妹。遗落的妹妹被一个农户捡回家长大取名为二丫，却因为不是亲生的，从小吃不饱穿不暖，还要被家中的姐姐欺负，被村民排挤。。背景设置在近未来，主角是高级督察John Major及Roy Carver（Daniel Mays及Stephen Graham饰 ）；John及Roy是队中的灭罪精英拍档，但当一次卧底任务出错并造成John殉职后，警队因认为他是不可或缺的重要「资产」，于是决定把John的意识转移到一个实验性人工智能项目，使主角复活过来。 问题是，John Major 2.0虽然看似原版货，但其实在意识转移过程中漏失了不少东西，现在他的傲慢举动及过份热心的态度仍在，但破案直觉却通通丢掉了。。
