Set in 1895, the film follows friends Ed and Frank who become brutal enemies in Oklahoma frontier territory when a rivalry develops over a woman who is set to inherit a prominent saloon. After a bounty hunter makes Ed disappear to a tortuous prison run by a sinister warden, he must learn the ways of an outlaw from a prison-mate to escape and exact his revenge.。After Jason (9) is abandoned by his mother at a folk festival, he takes refuge in a forest cabin belonging to a mute loner. A series of circumstances eventually lead them to form a family - something both have lacked for a while.。
